Avebury is a Neolithic henge monument containing three stone circles, around the village of Avebury in Wiltshire, in southwest England. Frances painted ‘Coming Home’ sitting amongst the exposed roots of the European beech on The Barrows at Avebury. She was inspired to write the following words to accompany the painting.

‘Coming Home’

Bringing us your energies here,
Bringing us your thoughts, you hold so dear,

Open your hearts to all that awaits,

Open your hearts as you walk through the gates,

Our time here is immortal, Guardians of the Stones,

Our time here is founded on all that is known,

We ready ourselves and make our gifts fit,

We ready ourselves so that you leave equipped,

To carry our hopes and dreams for all mankind,

To carry these forward throughout all time,

So much is happening in and around our grids,

So much is springing forth, creating a bridge,

From old to new, moving forwards, the energies stir,

From old to new, restoring and rewarding all who enter.
