Using Your Universal Energy Oracle Cards

As we are all connected to the universal energy, we can allow this energy to flow through us, receiving guidance whether it is through ‘aha’ moments, chance meetings, reading articles, books, or having timely insights. You can enhance your intuitive senses by becoming still and going inward, and by using a tool like Universal Energy Oracle Cards when you want to consciously tune into universal guidance.
The more you work with your cards, the more you will connect with them. They will get to know your energy, allowing you to understand the deeper meanings they reveal for you and others.
Reading With Universal Energy Oracle Cards
1. Cleanse Your Cards
There are many ways to do this. I find this simplest way is to hold your cards in your non-dominant hand, and then either give the cards a knock on the top of the deck, or place your hand over the cards with the intention for the cards to be cleansed. It is good to cleanse your cards before you begin using them for readings.
It’s also important to regularly cleanse your cards if you are doing many readings with them, after other people have touched them,
or if they haven’t been used for a while.
2. Set Your Intention
When working with your oracle cards, it’s good to start with a clear intention of what you are trying to achieve, just relax and focus on yourself. You can ask for clarity, understanding and guidance that will serve your highest and greatest good through your oracle card reading.
When reading for others, it can be helpful to imagine light coming from the cards to the person, connecting with their energy. Alternatively, by asking that they hold the deck to choose the cards for themselves.
3. Ask Your Questions
You can ask a specific question e.g. what will the outcome be if I make a certain choice?
Or you can ask a general question e.g. how is the energy today? It’s good to ask open ended questions rather than yes or no questions, although there is a ‘Yes’ and a ‘No’ card in the deck to help with this!
Then shuffle your cards with your question in mind.
Here are some example questions you can ask:
What can I do to move forward/with my project/
my life/my relationship?
What’s coming up for me?
What is the best way for me to become abundant?
How can I improve my health? How do I protect my energy?
How do I attract positive energy?
How can I open myself up to infinite possibilities?
4. Choose Your Cards
Whilst you are shuffling your cards, if any of the cards stick out or fall out of the deck, these cards are for you. You can close your
eyes to choose your cards or choose by the colours and designs that you are most drawn to. If you draw cards which are upside down, it shows that this is a strong message for you.
The number of cards you choose will depend on which oracle card spread you’re using.
These vary from 1 card readings, 3 card readings,
or more in depth readings using 5 or 10 cards.
There are many different card spreads to choose from,
have fun exploring them and creating your own.
5. Interpreting The Cards
Start with the first card you’ve drawn, and sit with it, what do you sense about the card, its colours and the shapes within the design, what thoughts and insights come to mind, how does it make you feel? Allow your intuitive guidance to reveal the meaning of the card, what is the card saying to you?
The wording on the reverse of the cards can help you to
understand its meaning, always allow yourself to add your own thoughts and feelings about the message. Use this process to intuitively read all the cards you’ve drawn and remember to thank your cards/guides at the end of the reading.
Oracle Card Spreads
An oracle card spread can vary with the number of cards you
draw for a reading, and the order in which they are placed. Always follow your intuition and draw as many cards as you feel inspired to for your readings.

1 card readings are useful to gain insight in response to questions. They can also be used daily for general guidance.
3 Card Readings
Past, Present, Future reading
Past, Present, Future readings are a good way to gain insight into a specific situation or challenge.
Card 1: Past. Placed on the left, indicates the past energy influencing or around the situation or challenge.
Card 2: Present. Placed in the middle, represents the energy of the present.
Card 3: Future. Placed on the right, reveals the potential future outcome regarding the situation or challenge.
When doing a past, present, future reading, the time frame can vary. It’s important to trust your intuition regarding this.

Relationships Reading
Card 1: Placed on the left, relates to you and your energy, what you want out of the relationship, and offers insight into your true feelings.
Card 2: Placed in the middle, relates to the other person and how they are feeling, what they want out of the relationship, and offers insight into their energy.
Card 3: Placed on the right, is all about the relationship between the two of you. It looks at where the relationship is heading, it may also reveal what is missing or what could improve harmony.
3 Card
Situation, Challenge, Guidance Reading
Card 1: Placed on the left, represents the energy surrounding the question or situation you are asking about.
Card 2: Placed in the middle, speaks to your present challenge regarding your question.
Card 3: Placed on the right, reveals the guidance regarding your question or situation.

Situation, Challenge, Guidance, Focus, Outcome Reading
This Five Card Reading builds upon the three card situation/ challenge/guidance reading to offer additional insight.
Card 1: Situation. This card represents the situation and general theme or energy surrounding your question or situation.
Card 2: Challenge. This card speaks to a present or upcoming challenge you may be facing.
Card 3: Guidance. This card gives insight into the guidance surrounding your situation, as well as revealing external help you may receive.
Card 4: Focus. This card reveals what you could focus on to reach your desired outcome. It may also represent a positive intention which will help you in moving forward.
Card 5: Outcome. This card reveals the potential outcome related to your question when you act upon the guidance you receive.

Celtic Cross Spread
The Celtic Cross Spread is a common card spread used for reading cards. It can be used to answer questions of any type.
Card 1: Current Situation. The meaning of this card is about the heart of the
matter at hand, not only the situation, but also the person’s state of mind, and perception regarding what is happening in their life.
Card 2: Challenge affecting the situation.
Card 3: The basis of the situation, including subconscious influences.
Card 4: How the past relates to the situation.
Card 5: The energy and influences in the present, including goals and ideas.
Card 6: What the near future will bring.
Card 7: Your power in the situation, and how you influence the situation.
Card 8: This card is all about the environment, external influences, and how others are influencing the situation.
Card 9: This card shows what you need to know. It may illustrate your hopes and fears regarding the outcome of the situation.
Card 10: The final outcome.
