Sacred Sites & Locational Energy Art

Frances is visiting sacred sites in the UK and abroad to connect and paint the energetic vibration present at the site, resonating from the land and offered by the guardians of the sites. Frances paints the vibration of these energies to make them visible through her paintings, at the same time words flow into her mind and are written to accompany each painting. Prints are available to buy to bring the vibration of these Sacred Sites into your own home.

Sacred Sites and Locational Energy Art by Frances Whitman.

On a visit to Glastonbury in the Uk, Frances created the following five sacred site energy paintings, connecting to the energies and vibrations of her surroundings.

'Guardians of The Tor'

Original SOLD .... Prints available

Like Glastonbury, the enigmatic Tor has come to host a large variety of mystical beliefs. Frances painted ‘Guardians of The Tor’ whilst sitting at the base of the tower and connecting to its past, present and future energies. She was inspired to write the following words to accompany the painting.

‘Guardians of The Tor’

Looking, seeking, feeling, sensing,
You come to this land to experience The Tor,
The energies, the emotions, the history,
We are here, we welcome you all.

Meditating, singing, dancing, celebrating,
Offering, guiding, renewing, awakening,
So many expectations, so much hope,
We are offering as much as you are bringing.

Mysteries, folklore, traditions, legend,
Swirling around in the mists that surround us,
Drawing you up to this mystical hilltop,
We are the guardians, honest and just.

Bring us your questions, your aspirations, your joy,
Bring us your fears, your release, your old,
Let us lift all burdens from you,
So as you leave, your steps are bold.

'Perpetual Flow'

Original SOLD .... Prints available

Chalice Well is one of Britain’s most ancient wells, surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards it is a living sanctuary in which the visitor can experience the quiet healing of this sacred place. A key part to Glastonbury’s mystery is water. Two springs rise within feet of each other at the base of the Tor, one, tasting sweet with calcium, leaves a white trail. The other, tasting metallic with iron leaves its mark in red. Frances painted ‘Perpetual Flow’ whilst sitting in the Chalice Well Gardens connecting to the Spirit of the waters and was inspired to write the following words to accompany it.

‘Perpetual Flow’

Almighty in your presence here,
Bringing alignment, balance and clarity,
Drawing all who hear your call,
Wishing to be cleansed in your purity,

Larger than the eye can see,
But still gentle in your flow,
Meandering above, where you can be seen,
Cleansing all that is below,

Your path, carved out in time,
A well-worn groove by now,
A resting place for many,
For others, a timely vow.

Sited near the foot of Glastonbury Tor Hill, stand two large ancient oak trees known as Gog and Magog. They are said to be over 2,000 years old, once forming part of an avenue of oaks that lead up to the Tor. Frances visited Gog and Magog at the foot of the Glastonbury Tor Hill, creating her painting in the shadow of the trees, she was inspired to write the following words to accompany it.

‘Gog and Magog’

Majesties of the past, descendants true,
Knowledge of ages within,
Hallowed ground, anointed for all,
Showing where the avenue did begin,

Ancient and crumbled,
But still, life they hold,
Their rings of history,
So many tales to be told,

Place your hands upon their girth,
Stand firmly on the ground,
You will hear their whispers spoken,
Many still with you, just look around.

'Earth Song'

Original SOLD .... Prints available

The enigmatic Tor, like Glastonbury has come to host a large variety of mystical beliefs. Sitting on the hillside of The Tor, Frances painted ‘Earth Song’ and was inspired to write the following words to accompany the painting.

‘Earth Song’

Hear the beat of the land beneath your feet,
Feel the heart of the land in your soul,
Know the love of the land in your heart,
Be at one with the land as you stroll.

Playing out for all eternity,
The earth sings its song loud and clear,
Speaking to all humanity,
Stop and listen, you will hear.

The notes that are sung, are of love and peace,
Of plenty, of nurture, of purity, of flow,
Providing for all, each and every one,
Inexhaustibly giving, in your heart you know.

The music of the earth is wild and free,
Is strong and gentle, melodic and clear,
Step outside to experience her beauty,
Acknowledge, give thanks and lend her your ear.

'A New Vibration'

Original SOLD .... Prints available

Chalice Well is one of Britain’s most ancient wells, surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards it is a living sanctuary in which the visitor can experience the quiet healing of this sacred place. Frances painted ‘A New Vibration’ whilst visiting the Chalice Well Gardens and connecting to it vibration. She was inspired to write the following words to accompany the painting.

‘A New Vibration’

You are calling us here for change to happen,
For each to align and bring peace to all,
We are your servants, your brothers, your sisters,
Around you we stand, we answer your call.

Open your hearts to all that is on offer,
Open your eyes to see it in place,
For all you desire has been given to you,
Focus on this and the past erase.

This new vibration has been with you forever,
You carry it in your heart and soul,
The time is now to remember this fact,
Let the barriers, fears, and hurts dissolve.

You are a child of light,
A mirror of purity, love and completeness,
Existing in time constructed by you,
By thought alone, creating your life’s canvas.

So with the realisation, that you are the key,
Bring into focus all that you are,
This new vibration was you all along,
So look within, not afar.

Our time here is founded on all that is known,
We ready ourselves and make our gifts fit,
We ready ourselves so that you leave equipped,
To carry our hopes and dreams for all mankind,
To carry these forward throughout all time,
So much is happening in and around our grids,
So much is springing forth, creating a bridge,
From old to new, moving forwards, the energies stir,
From old to new, restoring and rewarding all who enter.

Together, balanced, once more making the whole,
Aligned, true, blessed, divine, reconnected with Source,
Feel this now, deep within your soul.

Seated on the ground you can feel them beneath your feet,
Close your eyes and feel the pull,
To travel to new worlds, realms, dimensions at will,
For millennia now, we have opened our doors,
Doors into scapes never glimpsed before,
Journey now into the unseen,
As if you are travelling another dream,
Never alone, we travel with you through each door,
To make sure you return here once more,
Watching over you as you marvel and exclaim,
At all you see and experience again and again.

'The Rollright Stones'

History

This complex of megalithic monuments lies on the boundary between Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswold hills. They span nearly 2000 years of Neolithic and Bronze age development and each site dates from a different period.

The oldest, the Whispering Knights dolmen, is early Neolithic, circa 3,800-3,500 BC, the King's Men stone circle is late Neolithic, circa 2,500 BC; and the King Stone is early to middle Bronze Age, circa 1,500 BC.

The Stones are made of natural boulders of Jurassic oolitic limestone which forms the bulk of the Cotswold hills. This stone has been used extensively in the region for building everything from churches and houses to stone walls. The boulders used to construct the Rollright Stones were probably collected from within 500m of the site.

The origins of the name

The origin of the name ‘Rollright’ is somewhat uncertain. One interpretation is that it is derived from the Old English ‘Hrolla’+ ‘landriht’, the land-right or property of Hrolla. Old English is the earliest historical form of the English language brought to England by Anglo-Saxon settlers probably in the mid 5th century.

Another theory is that it is derived from an even older Celtic language ‘rod’ + ‘land’ + ‘ricc’ meaning the ‘ricc’ (groove, gorge or steep valley) by the ‘rodland’ (wheel arena) – i.e. the stone circle.

Heritage here for all,
Where once we stood so tall,
Focused, united, sworn to protect,
All who dwell in this world and the next,
Breathe in this heritage we offer,
Stand with us, receive all we proffer,
Take this with you as you travel on,
Offering it to others, letting all know they belong.
To the world that connects us all,
Through an invisible everlasting cord,
Connected to each and everyone here,
Always present whether we are far or near,
This cord that is pure enlightened love,
Forever present, connected below and above,
To the earth and Heaven,
Uniting us all, never to be broken.

She was inspired to write the following words to accompany the painting.

‘Splendour’ - Montpellier Gardens Energy Painting

From the surrounding areas people come,
Joining each other in a lively throng,
Coming together with joyful hearts,
Joining each other, voices united in song.

Listen to the echo of voices heard from the past,
Listen to the cries of happiness as children play,
United in their games of hide and seek,
As others wander through, enjoying the day.

The majestic trees, standing tall and proud,
Offering strength,  shelter and splendour,
To those who notice as they sit, relax and stroll,
This beautiful space, a reminder, to take time in nature.

Come and join us, make time in your day,
Whether it be for leisure or family time,
For refreshment or community,
Or a chance to just unwind.

Here you’ll find the peace you seek,
Amongst the people, the flowers and trees,
Breathe in the energy, draw up the vibration,
Find in the gardens grace and ease.

The symbolism of the colours and shapes in the painting.

The vibrant reds symbolize the energy of the movement and action in the gardens.

The yellows symbolize the joyfulness and the happiness of those who use and have used the gardens.

The greens symbolize nature in harmony with the people, offering us all it can, love, warmth, shelter, life and healing.

The blues symbolize the conversations, the voices and chatter of the gardens, past and present.

The whites symbolize the memory of those passed over, visiting their loved ones as they take time in the gardens for reflection.

The oranges symbolize the exuberance of a child’s nature, their hopes and dreams for the future.

The purple is a reminder to live in the moment, to just be.

The pinks show a loving energy present in the gardens, felt as a gentle reassurance.

Where the colours blend together to form new colours, shows the mixing of energy, creating a harmony in people from all walks of life and cultures.

Feel the vibrancy, the fun, the laughter,
Walk the streets, sense the history,
The past alongside the present,
Elegant, upbeat, with just a hint of mystery.

People from all walks of life and culture,
Proud of their town, living their lives,
Day to day carrying on, whilst
The tourist visiting, sees with fresh eyes.

The town continues to grow,
Nature and industry, side by side,
Complimenting each other,
Expanding and continuing to thrive.

A warm welcome awaits all who visit,
So beautiful a town, you’ll want to stay,
Whether just passing through or staying a while,
You’ll be sure to come back some day.
